The Dearborn Animal Shelter, 2661 Greenfield Road, needs YOUR help in finding the perpetrator/s who
brutally shot multiple times a young miniature pinscher dog this month.

The Dearborn Animal Shelter is offering a $1,950 reward for information leading to the arrest and
conviction of the person/s responsible for this cruel act.

Two photos of the dog, showing some of its wounds.

IF YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION ABOUT THIS INCIDENT OR THIS DOG, PLEASE CALL THE DEARBORN ANIMAL SHELTER IMMEDIATELY AT 313-943-2697.

The dog was found on the morning of Tuesday, August 21 on Rosevere Street, near Ford and Telegraph roads, in west Dearborn.  Neighbors on the street did not seem to know the dog or where it came from.

The dog had been shot nearly 20 times with a bird shot, and on it's neck it had a broken abscess
containing maggots, which indicated that the wound was a few days old.

The dog was treated at Caputo Animal Hospital in Dearborn Heights.  The dog's right eye had to be removed due to injury from the gun shots.  The dog's rear right leg may also have nerve damage and may need to be amputated at sometime in the future, depending on how the animal heals.

Please, forward this to anyone who may have any information about this incident.

With your help of passing this on, maybe someone will read this email who knows the dog or knows of the person/s that did these cruel things to this little doggie! Let's make a difference and find out who did this to this dog... before they do it again to another animal.

Thank you for helping this little dog!

=====

The dog has been named Rickie for Dr. Richard Caputo who is caring for her.
